DESCRIPTION:Our meeting will be a Zoom meeting and a few days ahead of time\, guild members will be sent an email with a Zoom link for the meeting.  Zoom will be available at 9:45 and the meeting will start at 10:00 am.  Our program\, “TEXT AND TEXTILES: FIBER ARTS AND LETTERS”\, will be presented by our own Wendy-Marie Teichert.  more info here \nYou probably know that Wendy-Marie weaves lovely and interesting items and finds fascinating presenters for our Thursday meetings. What we might not know is that she is also a talented calligrapher. This program will merge her two interests as she illustrates the connection between Text and Textiles\, a connection that most of us might never have considered. Did you know that the word “text” comes from Latin “textus” which means “a woven thing”?
