SUMMARY:All Guild Thursday Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This month our meeting will be a hybrid meeting\, at the United Methodist Church at 1515 Fredericks Street in San Luis Obispo from 9:45am to noon.  All members will be sent a notice to attend by Zoom a day or two before the meeting.  Our program will be “The Big Reveal”  Members are encouraged to share items and send Show and Tell photos with descriptions to ccwshowtell@gmail.com\, including info about yarn\, sett\, etc.  We will also have a raffle and a business meeting. \nWe especially want to see any Fair entries (and awards!)\, and workshop pieces from CNCH and ANWG. We’ll also be showcasing pieces from the April Navajo Experience Workshop. \n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Natural Dyeing Group Activity
DESCRIPTION:This is an opportunity to practice you dyeing skills (not a class). After the Thurs Guild meeting\, we will meet at 2pm at Patricia Martin’s Studio (224 Squire Canyon Rd\, SLO) to stitch\, wrap\, scrunch and prepare cloth for dyeing. This first meeting will just be a time to work before the indigo pots get going. We will meet again on Friday to continue working. What to bring: your own materials\, fabric\, thread\, scissors\, tools and inspiration/ideas. \nThe idea is that the group will meet in the afternoon of the guild meeting (if no other guild activity is scheduled) and work on our techniques. The Thursday afternoon will be for prepping (overnight mordanting) so that material is ready for dyeing on Fridays. The group can investigate anything of interest that is part of the natural world (no fiber reactive or acid dyes). Contact Patricia with any questions. \nFor exact times contact Patricia Martin.
