DESCRIPTION:The Conference of Northern California Handweavers Annual Conference is being held at the San Mateo Marriott (near the San Francisco Airport). Conference Information here. See below for a map to the venue. \nRegistration for workshops at this annual event is closed\, but you can still attend the Marketplace and explore the Gallery of woven items. \nThe fee for the the Marketplace is $15 for one day or $20 for the weekend and parking is free with validation.  The Marketplace is open Friday May 20 from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM\, Saturday May 21 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM and\nSunday May 22 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. More information\, including a list of vendors\, here. \nGalleries are open the same hours as the Marketplace and there will be demonstrations in the hotel lobby on Saturday and Sunday.  Parking is $30 per day\, so a trip the the Marketplace is recommended! \n

SUMMARY:All Guild Thursday Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Our April meeting will be a Zoom Meeting.  A few days before the meeting\, every member with email will be sent an invitation with a link to join the meeting.  The meeting will open at 9:45 am to allow time for people to join and the actual meeting will begin at 10:00 am.  Our program\, “Spinning and Weaving; a High Fiber Lifestyle” will be presented by Jannie Taylor. \nANIMAL\, VEGETABLE\, or MINERAL? The world is full of an amazing range of fiber and people around the globe have always put what is at hand to use for a myriad of purposes. Learn about the origin and properties of a  wide variety of fibers that come from sheep to sheepdog\, flax to fique. \nIn addition to the program\, we will have a business meeting and Show & Tell – please send photos of your items to Wendy-Marie weavingwen@gmail.com  so she can have them ready for the meeting.  Guidelines for photos here.
