DESCRIPTION:“INDIGO” with John Marshall. We will spend three\ndays with John sharing his knowledge of the dye plant and how we can use the\ncolorant in several different ways on cloth.\nThe workshop will be held outdoors in Else Drengler’s garden\, Arroyo Grande.\nThere are no preparations for the class but basic materials like gloves\, some\nbuckets and a pop-up shades will be required and a list will be sent to\nparticipants closer to the date. \nContact Patricia Martin (patwove@aol.com) if you are interested in the\nworkshop. After the Thurs Guild meeting\, we will meet at 2pm at Patricia Martin’s Studio (224 Squire Canyon Rd\, SLO) to stitch\, wrap\, scrunch and prepare cloth for dyeing. This first meeting will just be a time to work before the indigo pots get going. We will meet again on Friday to continue working. What to bring: your own materials\, fabric\, thread\, scissors\, tools and inspiration/ideas. \nThe idea is that the group will meet in the afternoon of the guild meeting (if no other guild activity is scheduled) and work on our techniques. The Thursday afternoon will be for prepping (overnight mordanting) so that material is ready for dyeing on Fridays. The group can investigate anything of interest that is part of the natural world (no fiber reactive or acid dyes). Contact Patricia with any questions. \nFor exact times contact Patricia Martin.

DESCRIPTION:Pat La Pointe will be teaching us how to weave basket napkin rings Since this will be very hands please bring a lunch\, no potluck this time.\nPat will have basic kits that include enough reed for 2 napkin rings and the form. The guild will pay for these kits but if you want to do a second set you’ll pay Pat $5.00. She will bring extra for the fast weavers.\nEveryone will also need:\na basin large enough to soak the reed\nvery sharp pointed scissors (not your best sewing!)\ncloth tape measure\nrubber bands or painters tape (Pat will have some with her) \nThis is a must RSVP\,  so we know how many kits will be needed.\nRSVP to denise.schryver@gmail.com by July 23 please. \nAttached are photos and directions.

SUMMARY:All Guild Pass-It-Forward
DESCRIPTION:Our Central Coast Weavers Guild will be having a Pass it Forward July 12th at the Strawbale Barn.  This is your opportunity to clear out your drawers\, closets and studios of all those things you no longer need or use and pass it on to someone in the guild that could use them.\nBooks\, yarn\, equipment or anything else a weaver would need or like are all welcome. \nWhat to know:\nStarts at 10AM on Saturday the 12th of July 2025. \nBring your items and we will have marked tables to set them on.  (Cottons\, equipment\, etc.) As soon as things are on the tables we will start. \nGuild members only.  If you are a new weaver\, this is the prefect time to pick up needed equipment and yarn even if you don’t have much to share. \nBring drinks and snacks\, plus bags to take home your treasures. \nIf you have items to pass on and cannot be there\, you may drop off your stuff at the barn before the 12th. Contact Rosemary to make arrangements.   Everyone else bring your items on Saturday. \nAnd Rosemary says to reminds everyone…It is HOT in July in Atascadero\, so dress accordingly. \nFor more information\, contact D’Elin Lohr \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n
