SUMMARY:All Guild Thursday Meeting
DESCRIPTION: “THE BIG REVEAL!”  ~ Our meeting will be a hybrid meeting\, in person at the SLO United Methodist Church\, 1515 Fredricks Street and concurrently on Zoom!  All members will be sent an invitation for the Zoom meeting a few days ahead of time.  Members are encouraged to bring items they’ve woven in the last two years for Show and Tell.  We will also have our traditional raffle of fiber-related items and a short business meeting.  Coffee and hot water for tea will be provided and attendees may bring snacks to share. \nIf you plan to attend remotely\, you must send photos for Show & Tell.  If you plan to attend in person\, you may send photos\, but it is not required. Info about yarn\, sett and structure are a plus. SUMMARY:All Guild Saturday Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Weaving and Fibers Vision Boards \nThis month we will be creating weaving and fibers-related vision boards. This exercise will help us unleash our creativity\, inspire ourselves and others\, and help us get to know each other through our fibers interests! Our meeting(s) will be Zoom meetings. Invitations will be sent to all guild members a few days before each meeting. \nVision boards can be created either online (I recommend Canva) or on an actual board (or a combination of both!) using photos\, sketches\, yarn\, swatches\, words and phrases\, etc… \nEach week I will send out helpful tips and ideas to guide you on this journey. We will be using these boards to answer the following questions: \n\nWhat inspires me in my weaving?\nWhat is a new skill\, technique\, or pattern I’ve always wanted to try or learn?\nWhat am I stuck on or need help with?\nWhat excites me about weaving and fibers?\nWhat do I want to accomplish this year?\n\nFor our meeting at the end of the month\, we will share our vision boards and each have a turn to discuss. This will be a fun way to get to know each other\, help me coordinate activities each month to support your growth\, and provide you with a tangible finished product to hang in your studio or weaving space to keep you inspired all year!
