DESCRIPTION:SHEEP SHEARING SHINDIG at City Farm SLO.  20 pounds of prepared fleece in several colors will be provided for us to spin.  There will be chairs and a covered area away from the music for us.  It’s not necessary to stay the whole time but arriving early is advised.  They are expecting 7 of us and 5 spinners have volunteered so far. SUMMARY:Derby Hat Making for Mid State Fair
DESCRIPTION:Our Guild is working on two collaborative entries: The Kentucky Derby Hat (see page 23 of the Handbook) and the Kentucky Derby Inspired Scarecrow (see page 26 of the Handbook). All are invited to Becky’s home to start working on the Derby hat. Bring light weight hand woven scraps\, inkle bands and such to use to start the hat. If you can’t make it\, please consider donating some  lace from last year’s study group to embellish both the hat and the scarecrow. You can bring scraps to the May meeting\, or contact Becky. SUMMARY:All Guild Saturday Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This month our meeting will be held from 9:30 am to 2 pm at the Strawbale Barn in Atascadero. We will create painted warps of cellulose materials (cotton\, rayon\, tencel\, linen\, bamboo\, hemp) using Fiber-Reactive dyes.  You may mix fiber types and sizes. Participants will be using as inspiration a printed image or something natural like a shell or a rock.   It is important that you prepare at home and bring necessary materials so please refer to additional information here. Bring your lunch\, water bottle\, hat and sunscreen.  Be sure to wear old clothes.   If you have questions or need more information\, contact Patricia Martin or Denise Schryver.
