Our annual Guild Sale and Showcase will take place on the traditional first weekend in November this year, November 5, 6, and 7th!

There will be some extra precautions for everyone’s comfort and security:

• Everyone entering the sale and demonstration areas MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED and will be asked to show their vaccination card or an image of it at the door. (Sorry, a negative Covid test result will not do!)
• Everyone entering the sale and demonstration areas MUST WEAR A MASK that covers their mouth and nose while indoors at all times. No food or drink will be allowed.
• Hand Sanitizer will be available and air purifiers will be in use.
• The number of people in the sale and demonstration areas will be limited to allow generous personal space. There may be a line to enter if you arrive at a popular time.
Be assured that you will find the usual impressive array of locally hand-crafted goods as well as various demonstrations of weaving, spinning and fiber arts.
Please join us for a joyful, friendly, creative and SAFE gathering.  MORE INFO HERE.

Bringing Together Artisans Since 1962

We are celebrating more than 50 years of sharing and friendship! In January of 1962, a small group of local weavers and spinners met in Morro Bay to share information, support and encourage each other and to promote and celebrate hand-weaving and spinning on the Central Coast of California. That first meeting grew into what is now the Central Coast Weavers, serving all of San Luis Obispo County, as well as Northern Santa Barbara County.

Our Motto: Friendship is the Shining Path We Weave

We are no longer a small group, but our goals haven’t changed over the years. Sharing information and friendship while promoting weaving and spinning are still at the heart of the guild.

We have expanded our membership to include basket makers, dyers, braiders and, in fact, anyone interested in the fiber arts. The benefits of Guild Membership include twice monthly guild meetings, weekly spinners meetings, workshops, study groups, an annual retreat, and access to an extensive library of books and videos.

We encourage and appreciate a wide range of weaving styles, techniques and ideas. We welcome new members and encourage them to become a part of the local weaving community. Please contact us for more information or visit our Events Pages for information on upcoming meetings.
