Weaving and Fibers Vision Boards

This month we will be creating weaving and fibers-related vision boards. This exercise will help us unleash our creativity, inspire ourselves and others, and help us get to know each other through our fibers interests! Our meeting(s) will be Zoom meetings. Invitations will be sent to all guild members a few days before each meeting.

Vision boards can be created either online (I recommend Canva) or on an actual board (or a combination of both!) using photos, sketches, yarn, swatches, words and phrases, etc…

Each week I will send out helpful tips and ideas to guide you on this journey. We will be using these boards to answer the following questions:

• What inspires me in my weaving?
• What is a new skill, technique, or pattern I’ve always wanted to try or learn?
• What am I stuck on or need help with?
• What excites me about weaving and fibers?
• What do I want to accomplish this year?

For our meeting at the end of the month, we will share our vision boards and each have a turn to discuss. This will be a fun way to get to know each other, help me coordinate activities each month to support your growth, and provide you with a tangible finished product to hang in your studio or weaving space to keep you inspired all year! There are no rules so get those ideas flowing!

Remember, these vision boards are a great tool to help take our creativity and weaving to a whole new level so just enjoy the process!
