This is an opportunity to practice you dyeing skills (not a class). After the Thurs Guild meeting, we will meet at 2pm at Patricia Martin’s Studio (224 Squire Canyon Rd, SLO) to stitch, wrap, scrunch and prepare cloth for dyeing. This first meeting will just be a time to work before the indigo pots get going. We will meet again on Friday to continue working. What to bring: your own materials, fabric, thread, scissors, tools and inspiration/ideas.

The idea is that the group will meet in the afternoon of the guild meeting (if no other guild activity is scheduled) and work on our techniques. The Thursday afternoon will be for prepping (overnight mordanting) so that material is ready for dyeing on Fridays. The group can investigate anything of interest that is part of the natural world (no fiber reactive or acid dyes). Contact Patricia with any questions.
